Veteran Reports Better Comprehension with HBOT

Fayetteville, NC – Fayetteville Hyperbarics provides Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) to veterans through the Green Beret Foundation. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a treatment in which a patient breathes 100% oxygen intermittently while inside a treatment chamber at a pressure higher than sea level pressure. After a thorough medical assessment, veterans begin HBOT treatment as noted in their prescription.

One of the veterans served is a 39 year old with combat injuries to his left shoulder, left arm and back. Diagnosis also includes combat related Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Medication list upon admission included Ambien and Lyrica.

Although there were no medication changes, patient reports after 40 HBOT treatments a difference in comprehension. “I feel more alert and better able to handle situations as they arise. I no longer struggle for words and I can read and comprehend much better.” Patient also states that he is better with multi-tasking and that his sleeping patterns have improved.

This veteran is in the process of finalizing a thorough testimonial for the Green Beret Foundation regarding his experience with HBOT.
