BARA·MED Announces Hyperbaric Chamber Sale Through Premier Medical Equipment Distributor In Former Soviet Republic
Southampton, PA: August 6, 2007 – Environmental Tectonics Corporation’s (AMEX:BARA·MED) (“BARA·MED” or the “Company”) BioMedical Systems Division has contracted with the premier medical equipment distributor in a former Soviet republic for the delivery and installation of two BARA-MED® monoplace hyperbaric chambers. This sale will increase BARA·MED’s presence in the hyperbaric medical field outside the United States/North America from nineteen to twenty countries on four continents.
This will be the first country, however, that will utilize the Russian language for the operator interface with BARA-PRESS™, a Windows-based software control system with full semi-automatic override and manual backup. This system serves to maximize operational efficiency and enhance patient comfort and safety by allowing chamber technicians to focus their attention on patients, not on the equipment, clock/timer, or recordskeeping. Because of the language facilities of Windows, the presentation of operator displays in Russian will be easily accomplished.
